The Paragard works by interfering with the sperm, and egg fertilization. Once the device is in place you and your partner should not feel it.
This device is small, soft, and flexible which makes it easy for our specialized doctors to place in your uterus. Our doctors can place this device in a single office visit and the procedure only takes a few minutes. You will be prompted to schedule a routine check up to make sure the Paragard is in the right place. You will also be guided on how to perform a monthly string check at home.

Skyla is placed in your uterus by our certified doctors in a routine visit. Four to six weeks after having Skyla you should come in for a follow up to make sure the device is working properly.

Nexplanon is a soft, flexible device used as a form of birth control. It is only 1.6 inches and is placed on the inside of your arm. Nexplanon prevents pregnancy for up to 3 years and releases progestin.
Once Nexplanon is in your arm, both you and your doctor will feel for the implant to make sure it is properly placed. It can be removed at any time and replaced after 3 years.
